Industry: FMCG / Manufacturing
We're partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturing business undergoing significant transformation following a major group combination, creating one of the UK's largest and most dynamic convenience food producers. This is a highly operational finance role, working at the heart of a fast-paced manufacturing environment where finance is directly embedded into site performance and decision-making.
You will act as a key finance partner to operational and cross-functional stakeholders, providing meaningful insight that drives action, improves efficiency, and enhances overall site performance. This is a role where you are expected to be close to the numbers, close to the operation, and close to the decision-making. You'll take ownership of weekly reporting cycles, month-end performance, forecasting, and KPI development, while also playing a key role in identifying cost drivers, challenging performance, and supporting continuous improvement across multiple sites.
A key focus will be building strong relationships with operational teams, translating financial data into clear insight, and helping the business understand “what needs to happen next” rather than just reporting what has happened.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivery of weekly and month-end reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles with clear driver-based insight
- Development and tracking of key performance indicators across operations
- Partnering with manufacturing and operational teams to drive performance improvement
- Identifying cost efficiencies and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Providing ad hoc analysis to support decision-making and business change
We are looking for someone who:
- Is qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience (ACA / ACCA / CIMA preferred)
- Has experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment
- Is comfortable working closely with operational stakeholders on site
- Has strong Excel and analytical capability
- Can translate data into clear, actionable insight
- Thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with tight deadlines
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being close to operations and making a tangible impact on site performance, efficiency, and decision-making.
