Elevation Recruitment Group's skilled shop floor team is recruiting for a Press Toolmaker to join a global industrial manufacturer based in Sheffield.
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Negotiable
Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday, 06:15 - 16:30
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture new tooling in line with issued drawings
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on multistage progression tools
- Use a variety of machines including grinding, turning, and milling
- Use precision measuring equipment to ensure tooling produces parts to the required tolerances
- Conduct thorough testing of tooling before release
- Monitor power presses during operation, identifying and resolving any issues
- Assess press tool lifespan and arrange for replacements or new part fabrication
- Replace pilots, probe pins, and springs, designing and making specialist fixtures as required
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety regulations at all times
Skills & Experience:
- Time served or apprenticeship trained in similar role
- Hands on experience with Milling, Turning, Grinding & Erosion tools
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for excellence
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
