Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with a global leading manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager to join their team. This standalone position will see you have full autonomy over the direct & indirect spend for the site and will suit someone with a strong manufacturing background.

Purchasing Manager Duties:
- Key negotiator with suppliers with support from relevant departments such as production, quality and technical
- Keep track of any cost savings by updating internal system with forecasts and actuals
- Organise supplier meetings / visits as and when required
- Raising of purchase orders on approved suppliers for all raw materials, consumables and services and ensure orders are sent to suppliers
- Update internal supplier log and monitor budgets
- Monitor open order reports daily, chase suppliers if orders are late and update internal system
- Maintain stock levels and ensure blanket orders are correct for goods inwards
- Monitor raw material stocks weekly and ensure any issues are reported to planning / production immediately
- Prepare RFQ’s professionally and within acceptable timescales, ensuring competitive prices are achieved while satisfying customer, regulatory and internal process requirements
- Setting up and monitoring supplier performance score cards KPI’s
Hours: 38 hours per week flexitime (office open between 7am-6pm). 12pm finish on a Friday. Can accrue and carry hours over.
Required skills & experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Purchasing
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Look ups IF-ISERRORS, SUMIF, etc)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills
- Able to create and present PowerPoint presentations
