Are you a qualified Management Accountant looking to join a forward-thinking, fast-growing business?

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting a Management Accountant to become a key part of a well-established finance team based in Wakefield. This is a varied and hands-on role where you\’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely management accounts, providing insightful financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:

• Producing monthly P&Ls and supporting MI across UK and European entities
• Reviewing P&Ls with initial commentary and variance analysis
• Managing accruals, prepayments, GRNI accruals, and journal entries (payroll/general)
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Producing detailed margin reports for each site, complete with analysis and commentary
• Monitoring weekly cash flow and maintaining the fixed asset register
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and EC Sales Lists
• Supporting with audit and tax queries, and submitting government stats
• Overseeing bank and invoice finance reconciliations
• Authorising BACS and same-day payments
• Taking ownership of month-end processes and deadlines
• Supporting senior members of the finance team with ad hoc requests

We\’re looking for someone who is not just technically strong, but who brings energy and a problem-solving mindset to the team. As well as:

• CIMA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a similar management accounting role
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles and month-end processes
• Confident in forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis
• Advanced Excel skills are essential (pivot tables, lookups, modelling etc.)
• High attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude
