Melett Limited is recruiting a Head of Supply Chain. This senior leadership role offers full ownership of end-to-end supply chain operations across a multi-site, international footprint. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take responsibility for shaping and delivering the group-wide supply chain strategy. Covering procurement, planning, warehousing, logistics and distribution, you’ll ensure products flow efficiently, cost-effectively, and without disruption across global operations. You’ll lead teams across the UK, China, and Europe, taking a hands-on approach to both strategic direction and operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Supply Chain:

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain strategy, performance and transformation initiatives
  • Manage international supply chain teams across the UK and China
  • Drive strategic make versus buy decisions across the group
  • Oversee supplier relationships, global sourcing, and logistics operations
  • Support new product introductions and tenders, ensuring cost and delivery targets are met
  • Lead annual cost negotiations to secure best value and year-on-year reductions
  • Improve product flow, reduce duty exposure, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations
  • Enhance SIOP processes, leveraging systems and technology to improve availability and forecasting
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to strengthen supply chain resilience
  • Support warehousing operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement

We're looking for a confident, commercially aware supply chain leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels. You will bring:

  • Proven experience in a senior supply chain leadership role
  • Strong knowledge across procurement, planning, inventory, logistics and distribution within a global environment
  • Experience managing international suppliers and navigating import/export compliance
  • A track record of leading and developing multi-site, multi-national teams
  • A data-driven mindset, with strong analytical capability and advanced Excel/BI skills
  • Experience within an automotive or manufacturing environment (desirable)
  • Familiarity with SAP B1 (desirable)
