Elevation Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a precision machining company in Sheffield for a CNC Turner to join their growing team.
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £32,480
Shift Pattern: Mornings & Afternoons (with an early finish on Fridays during the afternoon shift)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Okuma and Mazak Lathes
- Update tool wear offsets, load programs, and perform basic setups
- Machine exotic materials
- Work to tight tolerances
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Adhere to fine tolerances within a 6S environment
- Follow production schedules to meet output targets
- Conduct planned health and safety checks on equipment
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping
Requirements:
- Experience with CNC Turning machines
- Previous experience machining small to medium components
- Ability to follow and maintain all necessary documentation
- Experience working to fine tolerances in a 6S environment
- Familiarity with Okuma OSP, Fanuc, or Mazatrol controls is desirable
- Experience with exotic alloys is preferred but not essential
