Management Accountant / Finance Manager - Doncaster

Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, privately owned construction business in Doncaster, as they look to recruit a Management Accountant / Finance Manager for their head office.

\\nThe business has experienced significant growth in recent years, and with this success expected to continue they are looking to recruit a Management Accountant who will have responsibility for managing the finance function.

\\n\\n

Whilst there is currently a bookkeeper in place who is responsible for much of the finance administration, a significant proportion of the financial reporting is currently outsourced to the external Accountants. With the growth of the business, they are now looking to bring this in-house.
\\n
\\nThis will present the successful candidate with a great opportunity to embed new finance processes and procedures and lead the finance function moving forward.

Responsibilities:

\\n\\n

\\n\\t
• Ownership of the ledgers, ensuring financial control is maintained throughout the system

\\n\\t

• Preparation of supplier payments

\\n\\t

• Preparation of the management accounts both monthly and quarterly

\\n\\t

• Recording and understanding of variances and trends in financial performance

\\n\\t

• Budget preparation

\\n\\t

• Cash-flow forecasting

\\n\\t

• Year-end statutory reporting and supporting external accountants at year-end

\\n\\t

• Managing VAT return

\\n\\t

• Monitor capital expenditure

\\n\\t

• Payroll management for head office

\\n\\t

• CIS returns

\\n\\t

• Analysis of financial information to support decision making of senior Directors

\\n\\t

• Identifying system / process improvements

\\n

\\n\\n

Key skills / qualifications:

\\n\\n

\\n\\t
• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or qualified by experience

\\n\\t

• Experience of working in the construction sector

\\n\\t

• Experience and proficiency with Sage Accounting software

\\n\\t

• Strong analytical skills

\\n\\t

• Strong communication skills

\\n

\\n\\n
