Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting an experienced Finance Manager for a leading Manufacturing business in North Nottinghamshire. They have been recently acquired by a group of companies which has created a great platform to allow for further growth into Europe and beyond.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 2 as well as being a competent business partner to work closely with the operational teams and senior directors at group level. You will be responsible for producing a full set of monthly accounts along with related analysis and you will also support the budgeting and forecasting process.

Duties will be varied and will include:
- Responsible for leading a team of 2 in finance
- Monthly Management Accounts along with balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Providing detailed commentary and analysis to assist understanding of the monthly financial performance
- Forecasting and Budgeting
- Working closely with operational teams to help drive financial performance and help manage production costs and overheads
- Devise ways of maximising/ improving profitability based on analysis
- Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts
- Processing VAT returns
- Maintaining financial compliance at all times
- Working closely with internal auditors
To be successful, you will ideally have the following skills and experiences:
- Be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or at least working well towards completion
- Experience of working within the manufacturing sector or at least in a costings-based environment
- Staff management experience
- Business partnering experience
- Able to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to be able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- Work well independently as well as within a team
This role will allow someone to really make the role their own and have ownership/ autonomy over the finance department whilst having the support, mentorship and guidance from group where needed.
