Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a business based in Sheffield as they look to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform revenue reconciliation and manage the processing of payments from bank statements into Sage 200
- Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and credit card transactions
- Prepare and post accruals and prepayments entries
- Analyse the profit and loss accounts and nominal ledgers, reconciling them while identifying any required adjustments for prepayments and accruals
- Record and process expenses, petty cash, and credit card transactions
- Handle key control account reconciliations, including those for the sales ledger and purchase ledger
- Support the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Carry out additional tasks as needed to assist the Finance Manager and broader finance team
Experience & Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a Finance or Accounting role
- Experience using Excel
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a small team environment to ensure accurate and timely financial outcomes
