Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading FMCG organisation as they seek to appoint a Warehouse Manager to lead and optimise finished goods and raw material warehouse operations at their Wigan site. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to take ownership of operational performance, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing and supply chain environment.
This role is ideal for a proactive, results-driven leader with a strong Health & Safety mindset who thrives on driving operational excellence, efficiency, and team performance across multi-channel warehousing operations.
The Role:
As Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the full warehouse operation, including finished goods picking, storage, dispatch, and raw material support to production. You will lead, coach, and develop the warehouse team, ensuring safety, compliance, stock accuracy, and cost-effective performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage finished goods warehouse and picking teams, providing guidance for the raw material warehouse.
- Build a safety-first, performance-driven culture through coaching, training, and accountability.
- Ensure accurate, efficient picking, storage, and dispatch of goods to meet service level requirements.
- Oversee inventory control, cycle counts, and reconciliation to maintain stock accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise workflows.
- Manage warehouse budgets, KPIs, productivity targets, and supplier engagement.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, quality standards, and audit requirements (ISO9001/14001).
- Analyse operational data and reporting to support decision-making and drive performance improvements.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale warehouse operations, ideally with multi-channel and e-commerce fulfilment.
- Experience of 24-hour operations and raw material warehouse support for production/manufacturing.
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge with a track record of improving safety performance.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems (D365 preferred).
- Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, or similar methodologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
- Commercially aware and results-driven with a collaborative leadership style.
