Job Description
Welder / Fabricator – YorkElevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturing company in York to recruit a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join the busy team. Salary: £14ph Monday – Friday 07:00 – 15:30
You’ll fabricate and weld structural steel frames, sub-assemblies, and modular chassis from engineering drawings, using MIG welding on a range of steel sections and gauges.You will carry out:
- Weld and assemble steel units to drawings and tolerances.
- Operate workshop tools (cutting, grinding, forming).
- Carry out quality checks before and after welding.
- Keep your work area safe, clean, and organised.
We are keen to speak with Welder / Fabricators with:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication & Welding (or equivalent).
- Proven MIG welding/fabrication experience, ideally in structural steel or modular builds.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
