Role: Digital Marketing Officer– Paid Search- Wakefield
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 37 hours per week- flexible hours with core hours being 10am-4pm

General overview: As a key member of our Digital Marketing team, you will play a central role in delivering our paid search strategy across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Shopping, and key paid social channels. Working closely with the Search Marketing Manager and our paid media agency, you’ll help plan, build, optimise and report on campaigns that drive measurable results (for Google & Microsoft). You’ll also gain hands on experience creating and optimising ads for paid social channels in house. Alongside the PPC focus, you’ll also support with onsite content updates and landing page improvements to enhance campaign performance.
Responsibilities:
- Paid Search: Collaborate with our Paid Search agency to develop ad copy, revise keyword lists, brief in campaign assets and review weekly performance.
- Plan, create, manage and optimise paid social campaigns across key social channels, carrying out research, planning campaign activity, recommending suitable channels and ad formats, building ads, monitoring performance and reporting back on key metrics.
- Monitor daily performance across paid search channels and provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve ROI.
- Lead in the production of regular paid social audits; researching competitors and assessing paid social platforms for new opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Support with tracking set up and pixel management to ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist with A/B testing across paid ads and website CRO activity to enhance user journeys.
- Use analytics software to prepare regular performance reports against agreed KPIs, and highlight key trends and opportunities.
- Support the Search Marketing Manager with budget tracking and forecasting.
Website Content Support:
- Implement onsite content updates and landing page amendments to support with Pay-per-Click (PPC) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) performance.
- Collaborate with relevant wider marketing colleagues to optimise campaign pages for conversion.
- Maintain planning documents for website content schedules and paid channel activity.
- Work collaboratively with the Search Marketing Manager and external agencies to ensure alignment with organic SEO and paid search channels and activities.
Core competencies: Digital generalist who has exposure across all areas of digital. Experience of executing a paid social strategy. Digital agency background would be ideal.
