Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with a leading manufacturing and distribution business who are looking for a transport focused HSE Advisor to join their team. The role will take responsibility for all HSE related compliance of the transport side of the business with regular travel to depots across the UK.

The business are looking for an experienced individual passionate about ensuring safety, health, and environmental compliance within the transport industry. The role will involve ensuring adherence to internal systems and legislative requirements, particularly in the transport/On-road risk environment.

The business are offering full flexibility with some home working and have a fantastic benefits package including a company car, bonus and up to 12% pension contribution. The company as a whole have a fantastic reputation having won multiple awards and continuing to grow from strength to strength.

Duties & responsibilities include:

  • Advise on best practices in managing On Road Risk (ORR), load safety, driver human factors, and fostering a positive safety culture.
  • Standardise operating standards across the business, 3PL providers, and XDC sites.
  • Collaborate with the H&S Team on depot assessments, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Develop, review, and implement robust safety policies tailored for transport operations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, investigate incidents, and recommend preventive actions.
  • Provide training on defensive driving, fatigue management, and hazard recognition.
  • Monitor driver wellness and promote environmental stewardship by optimising fuel efficiency and reducing emissions.
  • Foster a safety-first culture through collaboration and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • I\’m keen to speak to HSE Advisors with the following experience:

  • Extensive experience in a Transport-focused safety role.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent (Grad IOSH minimum).
  • Good working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Full driving licence, travel to sites is part of the role and will be provided with a company car.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
