Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be partnered with a leading energy generation organisation in the search and selection of a Senior Sourcing Specialist, within their developing and transitioning Procurement function.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Experienced Indirect buyer to join a global low-carbon energy and services company to support the growth and transition of the procurement function in the UK. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist will be proactively involved in procuring high-value goods and services for the UK. This includes ensuring materials, spares, services, non-capex buying (IT consulting, MRO, agency training, equipment PPE) are provided in a timely and cost-effective manner in accordance with best practices, providing value for money at all times, and managing both CAPEX and OPEX procurement activities.
- Execute a wide variety of contracts as required, focusing on specific categories allocated by the Procurement Manager.
- Proactively enable commercially viable sourcing strategies and efficiency levers for spend in remit, must have degree of category & market knowledge in (but not limited to) IT (software, Hardware, IT consulting), Consultancy services, General Expenses, Consumables, MRO, Equipment and services, Civils maintenance contracts.
- Support other members of the Procurement team in managing the business' Procurement functional processes and controls.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing contracts as agreed with the Procurement Manager.
- Negotiate contract supply agreements with suppliers to ensure optimal terms and conditions.
Holding a circa £100m category spend.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS).
