Manufacturing Engineer £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, Sheffield. Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a specialist engineering and manufacturing business seeking a driven Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team. Operating within a low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environment, the business undertakes fabrication, welding, machining, assembly and testing activities, supplying engineered products into critical infrastructure sectors. This role will focus on supporting and improving manufacturing processes across the operation, driving continuous improvement initiatives, increasing efficiency and identifying innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality and safety
- Support fabrication, welding, machining and assembly operations with engineering solutions
- Drive continuous improvement projects across manufacturing processes
- Work closely with production teams to reduce waste and improve operational performance
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, routes and process standards
- Produce and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support the procurement of materials in line with project and production requirements
- Support the introduction of new products, equipment and manufacturing techniques
Ideal Background:
- Experience within a fabrication, welding, assembly, machining or heavy engineering environment
- Strong continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Experience creating BOMs, routes or manufacturing documentation
- Ability to challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Engineering qualification or relevant manufacturing engineering experience preferred
- Driven, hands-on and capable of working closely with both production and engineering teams
