Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a Sheffield-based fabrication company to recruit a Technical Engineer. Reporting to the Design Engineer, the Technical Engineer role will support the sales team providing customers with technical advice on the use of products and developing specifications and solutions to support problems encountered by customers.

- Hours; Monday - Friday 8am – 4.30pm (3.30pm finish on Fridays)
Duties of the Technical Engineer will include:
- Responding to technical enquiries with solutions using standard products, adaptations, and bespoke items
- Reviewing Architects and Engineers Drawings, bills of quantities, and other documentation received from customers
- Carrying out designs to determine the correct products and sizes
- Communicating any details, markups and assumptions to the customer and liaising with the Sales Team to produce a quotation
- Identifying opportunities for new products and the improvement of existing products to reduce costs, improve, or meet new requirements
We are looking to speak with Technical Engineers with the following skills/experience:
- HNC or equivalent qualification in an Engineering or building/construction-related subject
- Worked within a construction-related design environment
- Able to understand Engineering/Technical Drawings
- Problem-solving/Organised/Methodical/AutoCAD
- Computer literate/Microsoft Windows/Good Telephone Manner
This role would suit an architectural/structural technician or technical estimator looking to develop their skills in a more customer-focused environment.
