Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturer in Sheffield who are seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to lead and coordinate the activities within the lab. This is a key role ensuring that all analytical testing and product examinations are completed efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with company, customer, and international standards. This role is days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring adequate shift cover and timely delivery of analytical results.
- Act as the primary contact for internal laboratory service users and external suppliers.
- Oversee and document staff competence, training, and proficiency for all analytical activities.
- Carry out and maintain COSHH, PUWER, and risk assessments for all laboratory operations.
- Participate in internal IMS and SBO audits to support continuous improvement and compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.

- Educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in a materials-related discipline.
- Managerial experience in an analytical laboratory or shift-based production setting.
- Strong knowledge of chemical analysis methods and laboratory technologies, including OES, XRF spectrometry, and Combustion IR/Thermal Conductivity gas analysis.
