Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering exclusively with a rapidly growing global business in Sheffield who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant to support their team on an ongoing temporary contract. This role involves managing supplier relationships and maintaining accurate records to ensure operational efficiency.

The Role

  • Raising and processing purchase orders in line with internal requirements
  • Tracking and expediting orders so that deliveries arrive on time
  • Communicating with suppliers by phone and email to resolve queries
  • Ensuring products are sourced on time, meet specification and are competitively priced
  • Sending requests for quotation to potential suppliers
  • Updating the calibration register and arranging calibration activity
  • Maintaining up to date pricing and supplier information within systems
  • Setting up vendor accounts and completing credit application paperwork
  • Managing supplier questionnaires
  • Overseeing waste disposal activity in line with regulations

  • Previous experience in a purchasing or supply chain role
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in speaking with suppliers
