Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be working with a dynamic precision engineering business in Sheffield that is looking for an MRP Planner to join their team. As the MRP Planner, you will be responsible for generating a production plan to obtain the most efficient factory performance possible whilst achieving Customer demand OTIF.

Hours: 8am – 4pm (Monday – Thursday) and 8am-1pm (Friday)

Key Duties:

  • Develop and manage production plans by analysing customer schedules/forecasts, monitoring adherence to the MPS, and communicating impacts to relevant teams.
  • Coordinate capacity planning with Operations and Planning teams to assess labour, equipment capacity, and production workload requirements.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by responding to requirements within deadlines and leading regular customer meetings.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal WIP levels while controlling obsolete, scrap, non-conforming, and aged stock.
  • Manage shipping and delivery processes, ensuring goods are dispatched accurately, on time, and to the correct location.
  • Produce sales forecasts and ERP order book updates, while supporting KPI reporting and maintaining compliance with company procedures, policies, and operational standards.

  • Previous Production Planning experience within a technical environment
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills
