Elevation Recruitment Group are working on behalf of a Rotherham-based workshop to recruit a skilled HGV Technician to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business offering strong earning potential, stability and ongoing development.
Salary: £17.64 – £21.50 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days | 06:00 – 18:30 OR Early/Lates Shift Rotation, Week 1: 06:00 - 14:30, Week 2: 14:00 - 22:30 + 1 in 4 Saturdays
Location: Sheffield
Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
- Complete vehicle inspections and MOT preparation in line with DVSA standards
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Accurately complete job cards and service documentation
- Minimise vehicle downtime through effective fault finding
- Adhere to all health & safety procedures within the workshop
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician / PSV Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- A proactive and reliable team player with good attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
