Job Title: Contracts Metallurgist Location: Sheffield Area Salary: £46,000 per annum benefits package Job Type: Permanent / Full-time We are looking for a Contracts Metallurgist with experience in nickel alloys and ideally hot working of metals. This is a hands-on role that combines desk-based contract review with active engagement with sales teams, internal departments, suppliers, and customers. You will ensure materials and production meet customer requirements while supporting quality compliance. Key Responsibilities Review contracts and customer orders to ensure correct materials and processes Interpret material specifications and verify compliance with customer requirements Liaise with sales, engineering, production teams, and suppliers Support testing, inspections, and documentation for quality and compliance Raise and manage non-conformance reports and concessions Required Skills and Experience Degree or HND in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Materials Engineering Proven experience with nickel alloys ; hot working experience is highly desirable Experience with quality management, testing, and material verification Confident and collaborative; able to work across teams and balance desk-based and hands-on work Aerospace or oil and gas experience is a plus Why Apply Work with high-performance metals and advanced manufacturing Dynamic, interactive role with exposure to technical and operational aspects Collaborative environment focused on quality and continuous improvementreach out to for more information
