Aerospace Assembly Operative in Sheffield

Salary: £33,800

Shift Allowance

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

  • Mornings: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Afternoons: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading aerospace manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit an Aerospace Assembly Operative to join their growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced assembly operative who enjoys working in a precision engineering environment and takes pride in producing high-quality products to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out assembly operations using hand riveting and planishing techniques
  • Perform drilling and riveting activities to engineering specifications
  • Abrade and finish assemblies to the required standard
  • Use a range of hand and air-powered tools safely and effectively
  • Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions accurately
  • Ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards
  • Conduct basic autonomous maintenance checks on equipment
  • Identify and report production or quality issues promptly
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines
About You
  • Previous experience within an assembly, manufacturing, or engineering environment
  • Experience using hand tools and air-powered tools
  • Experience working within aerospace or similar industry
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience working to production targets and deadlines
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
Desirable:
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S
  • Experience working within aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
