Elevation Recruitment Group's Engineering Services Division are working exclusively with a forward-thinking and innovative engineering business based in Yorkshire to recruit a Senior Commissioning Engineer supporting a national network of clients throughout the UK. Our client is renowned for delivering reliable energy solutions across the UK, from emergency power and CHP systems to solar, diesel, and gas installations in critical infrastructure sectors such as Banking, Healthcare, and Commercial Distribution.

Due to their continued expansion and growth, they are looking for an experienced Senior Commissioning & Installations Engineer who will be heavily involved with the Installation and Commissioning of bespoke power solutions, working with highly prestigious customers throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Commissioning & Installations Engineer:
  • Installation and commissioning of new hardware, including power and control cabling
  • Modification of existing power generation systems
  • Fault diagnosis and rectification on generator control systems
  • System testing
  • Liaison with customers and other stakeholders on various sites within the UK
Skills & Experience for the Senior Commissioning & Installations Engineer include:
  • Have a background in power generation and an understanding of electrical switchgear
  • Have extensive experience in commissioning PLC control systems
  • Have good technical knowledge of gas and/or diesel generators
  • Be familiar with the principles of emergency generator operation & synchronisation, including knowledge of G59 and G99
  • Hold a valid CSCS or ECS Card
  • Hold a full valid driving licence
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations would be of benefit
  • Experience of working away from home
