ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER
Elevation Recruitment Group have an exciting opportunity to join a well-invested, process manufacturing business within the food/FMCG industry. With significant capital investment underway and more in the pipeline, they're looking to strengthen their projects capability with the addition of a Electrical Project Engineer.
Reporting into the Projects Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering site-based engineering projects from concept through to commissioning. It's a hands-on role with real ownership, variety and visibility across the wider engineering and operations teams.
The Role
- Managing projects from initial concept and design through installation, commissioning, training and handover
- Producing and maintaining project documentation including design packs, drawings, risk assessments and authority applications
- Coordinating consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal engineering and operations teams
- Acting as the main point of contact for site-based project activity, chairing meetings and driving progress
- Surveying site conditions and developing practical, buildable design solutions
- Managing and updating plant and process drawings, ensuring strong control of revisions
- Identifying engineering improvements to enhance safety, reliability and efficiency
- Supporting SHE objectives and contributing to the wider needs of a fast-paced manufacturing site
What We're Looking For
- You'll be a technically strong engineer who enjoys seeing projects through from start to finish and isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up when needed.
- Professional qualification(s) in Electrical Engineering essential (HND/Degree level)
- Proven experience delivering projects in an FMCG, Chemical or Process Engineering environment
- Strong AutoCAD 2D/3D capability (Inventor experience beneficial)
- Working knowledge of ATEX, COPEX advantageous
- Experience with process pipework
- Confident managing multiple projects and competing priorities
- Practical, adaptable and comfortable working on a mix of large and small projects
- Strong communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships across site
