Interim Project Accountant
Location: Scunthorpe
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Daily Rate: £350 - £500
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a well-established business based in Scunthorpe who are looking to appoint a Project Accountant to support the finance function through a period of change and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the review and clearance of a backlog of financial reporting and accounts
- Rebuild and strengthen reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information
- Support the production of management accounts and associated analysis
- Review existing finance processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies and control improvements
- Drive improvements to financial reporting, reconciliations and balance sheet integrity
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and improve financial visibility
- Support the implementation of improved processes, controls and reporting structures
- Provide technical accounting support to the wider finance team where required
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
- Proven experience working on finance improvement or transformation projects
- Strong balance sheet and reconciliation expertise
- Advanced Excel and strong financial systems capability
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and driving change within finance teams
