Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a leading manufacturing business within the packaging sector to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Quality professional to support Quality and Product Safety activities across multiple production areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a manufacturing environment who enjoys driving continuous improvement, managing investigations, and working closely with operational teams to improve quality performance and reduce the cost of quality.
The Role
Reporting into the Quality Assurance leadership team, you will support quality systems, complaint management, auditing activities, and continuous improvement projects across the business. You will work collaboratively with Production, Shift Managers, and other internal departments to improve quality standards, investigate issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Quality and Product Safety functions across multiple manufacturing areas
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing complaints and improving overall quality performance
- Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances, and suspect product issues
- Manage CAPA activities and ensure effective resolution and follow-up
- Analyse, trend, and present quality performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with BRCGS and ISO 9001 standards
- Support internal auditing programmes and participate in third-party audits
- Manage supplier claims and related investigations
- Complete customer specifications and supplier assurance questionnaires (SAQs)
- Conduct compliance audits including knife control, glass and brittle plastics inspections
- Support the Quality Manager and deputise where required
About You
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Quality professional with:
- Previous Quality experience within a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of BRCGS and ISO 9001 standards
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a logical approach
- A confident and assertive communication style
- Good IT skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- A positive and proactive attitude
- Experience within the flexible plastics packaging industry would be advantageous
