Interim Purchasing Manager – Sheffield – Competitive Salary

Elevation Recruitment Group is excited to be working exclusively with a dynamic aerospace component manufacturer business in Sheffield, which is looking for an Interim Purchasing Manager to support their team for a 6-month fixed-term contract.

As Purchasing Manager, you will manage the inbound supply chain, utilising best practice to ensure all required materials and services are delivered to Operations on time

Working Hours / Benefits:

• 8am – 4pm (Monday – Thursday) and 8am-1pm (Friday)
• 25 days holiday + bank holiday

Required skills & experience:

• Previous experience in a technical environment (Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive, Oil & Gas)
• MRP experience and strong Excel skills
• Strong communication/negotiation skills

Key Duties:

• Negotiate and manage long-term supplier agreements to ensure pricing stability and service performance
• Lead and develop the Purchasing team to deliver business objectives
• Ensure KPIs for cost, delivery, and quality are consistently achieved
• Build strong supplier relationships to improve performance and resolve issues
• Monitor supplier performance using scorecards and drive continuous improvement
• Optimise supply chain and inventory through forecasting, stock strategy, and cost reduction initiatives
