Purchasing Assistant – Sheffield – £32,000 – £35,000 Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering exclusively with a rapidly growing global business in Sheffield who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant to support their team on an ongoing temporary contract. This role involves managing supplier relationships and maintaining accurate records to ensure operational efficiency. The Role Raising and processing purchase orders in line with internal requirements Tracking and expediting orders so that deliveries arrive on time Communicating with suppliers by phone and email to resolve queries Ensuring products are sourced on time, meet specification and are competitively priced Sending requests for quotation to potential suppliers Updating the calibration register and arranging calibration activity Maintaining up to date pricing and supplier information within systems Setting up vendor accounts and completing credit application paperwork Managing supplier questionnaires Overseeing waste disposal activity in line with regulations The Person Previous experience in a purchasing or supply chain role Strong communication skills and confidence in speaking with suppliers Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks Solid IT skills with the ability to work accurately in systems About Elevation Elevation Recruitment Group is a specialist recruitment consultancy that helps people build long term, successful careers.
