We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business in West Yorkshire who are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team. This is a key shopfloor role, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, leading from the front and making things run better every day. You’ll report into the Operations Manager and take ownership of day-to-day production, keeping things safe, efficient and on plan.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the shopfloor team and dealing with day-to-day production and technical issues
- Driving 5S and continuous improvement activity
- Supporting new product and process introductions
- Keeping production data and visual boards up to date
- Carrying out quality checks, audits and product testing
- Monitoring scrap and putting actions in place to reduce waste
- Planning work to hit customer delivery requirements
- Training, developing and cross-skilling the team
- Managing appraisals, performance, absences and timesheets
- Making sure Health and Safety standards are met
