Elevation Recruitment Group are searching for a Production Planner to join an SME Manufacturing business based in Barnsley.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly review and update minimal inventory and re-order parameters to maintain optimal levels of finished goods.
- Develop and implement efficient production plans that meet both internal and external customer requirements.
- Assist the Production Planning Manager and collaborate with the planning and materials manager to produce daily production schedules.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure current and future demand is met.
- Prepare relevant reports on material availability and analyse data from various sources to provide management information.
- Maintain finished goods inventory levels according to set targets and ensure all planning activities support customer service performance goals.
- Collaborate with other departments and management team members as needed.
- Present production planning information at management meetings when required.
- Contribute towards personal and departmental targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a production planning environment is essential.
- A self-starter who can act on their own initiative.
- Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of communicating effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
