Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for an excellent opportunity with a growing large scale assembly manufacturer based in Castleford, who are looking for a proactive and experienced Production Engineering Manager for a pivotal role within the business. This is an exceptional opportunity to drive innovation, optimise processes, and make a tangible impact on a dynamic manufacturing operation.As the Production Engineering Manager you will ensure the seamless operation, efficiency, and quality of production processes, tools, and facilities. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll lead initiatives in production optimisation, maintenance management, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies to support our growing operations. Key Production Engineering Manager Responsibilities: Production Process Optimisation: Develop efficient workflows, implement production aids, and collaborate on design for manufacturability. Maintenance & Asset Management: Ensure the reliability of tools, equipment, and facilities through robust preventive and corrective maintenance strategies. Continuous Improvement: Leverage Lean Six Sigma principles to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and integrate new technologies. Quality Assurance: Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other industry standards, implementing inspection regimes and error-proofing systems. Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver seamless project execution and facility upgrades. Please note that this role will not have any direct reports in the initial stages, however the will be the opportunity to build a team in the future Essential Skills & Experience: B.Eng in Manufacturing Systems Engineering or a similar field. Minimum 3 years’ experience in an OEM environment. Expertise in CAD/CAM and mixed model value streams. Proven track record in CapEx project management. Familiarity with HSE legislation, including LOLER, PUWER, and COSHH. Desirable: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Chartered Engineer status with IET.
