Elevation Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a South Yorkshire engineering business, specialising in bespoke, high-quality manufacturing solutions and tooling. This is a key technical role within a growing Product Team, taking ownership of product design from early concept through to production release. You’ll act as the technical authority on assigned product lines, translating market insight and customer requirements into robust, manufacturable designs. The role has a strong balance of hands-on engineering and cross-functional collaboration, with real influence over product quality, performance, cost and compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end technical design of products, from concept through to production
  • Carry out competitor benchmarking and market research to inform design decisions
  • Produce and approve engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, laser marking drawings and technical specifications
  • Define and control design intent, tolerances, materials and finishes to ensure performance and manufacturability
  • Lead and support prototype builds, testing, validation and iterative design improvements
  • Provide technical leadership and problem-solving support, driving root cause resolution
