Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a respected national charity in Pontefract to support the development and leadership of their Social Workers and Social Care Assistants.
We’re seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable Supervising Social Worker to oversee welfare services and provide strong, supportive leadership.
Based in Pontefract, you’ll lead a small and dedicated team delivering practical guidance, emotional support, and life-changing interventions to those who need it most.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a team providing person-centred social work support
- Oversee case management to ensure high-quality, tailored services
- Act as the regional safeguarding lead, ensuring best practice
- Build strong relationships with local partners to enhance community support
What You’ll Bring
- Qualified and registered Social Worker (degree or equivalent)
- Experience mentoring or managing staff within a social care environment
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, welfare benefits, and older people/disability services
- Excellent communication, empathy, and leadership skills
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel

Location: Pontefract (office-based with regular regional travel)
Salary: £40,787 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
