Elevation Recruitment Group is supporting a leading manufacturing organisation with the recruitment of a Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is an excellent opportunity to join a complex, fast-paced environment where you will play a critical part in driving performance, improving financial rigour, and supporting operational decision-making.
As a key member of the finance team, you will partner closely with operations to support sustainable and profitable growth. You will provide high-quality insight, challenge existing processes, and help drive continuous improvement across financial controls, reporting, and operational KPIs.
This position is responsible for operational finance, balance sheet governance, month-end reporting and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver month-end close processes to group deadlines, producing accurate and timely reporting
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Manage key P&L areas including sales accruals, purchase price variances, carriage and production variances
- Report on operational performance including OEE, waste, and other production KPIs
- Maintain integrity of stock systems and oversee the Stock Status process
- Govern engineering stores and reconcile stock between systems
- Review and challenge operational overheads to support budget management and cost control
- Maintain standard costs and production data to ensure accurate reporting and ledger postings
- Reconcile financial reporting tools to accounts
- Maintain the fixed asset register and capital work-in-progress processes
- Complete VAT returns, National Statistics submissions, and other statutory returns
- Support statutory accounts, corporation tax computations and external audit preparation
- Undertake detailed account analysis and ad-hoc projects for the Financial Controller and Executive Team
- Fully qualified: CIMA / ACCA / ICAEW
- Strong financial management and control experience within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent systems knowledge, ideally with full ERP exposure (e.g., SAP, AX)
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency across Microsoft Office
