🌍 Contract Opportunity: PLC Programmer – Global Manufacturing Leader (Outside IR35)

📍 Worksop | Hybrid | £40–£50 per hour | 6-month contract


A global leader in manufacturing is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to drive a series of control system enhancement projects across international production sites.

🔧 What you’ll be doing:


  • Lead the development and enhancement of PLC-based control systems across global manufacturing sites
  • Program and troubleshoot using Siemens (TIA Portal/S7) and Allen Bradley (RSLogix/Studio 5000)
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of control, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Support on-site commissioning (as needed) and provide remote assistance to local teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation aligned with internal and industry standards
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for control strategy improvements


✅ What we’re looking for:


  • Proven experience as a PLC Programmer within manufacturing or industrial automation
  • Strong hands-on skills with Siemens and Allen Bradley platforms
  • Comfortable working independently and owning project deliverables
  • Experience with system upgrades, migrations, or enhancements
  • Exposure to rail sector manufacturing is a bonus, not a must
  • Willingness to work with international teams – some global travel (10–15%) required
