Interim Plant Manager – Near Bath

£90,000 – £105,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Private Medical + Pension

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently supporting a global manufacturing organisation in the confidential recruitment of an Interim Plant Manager, based at a high-volume site near Bath. This is an urgent requirement with an immediate start available and the potential for the role to transition into a permanent position in due course.

The site is a key facility within the group’s UK operations, employing over 300 people and producing a wide range of SKUs across multiple product lines. The environment is fast-paced and complex, with both established and recently introduced equipment on site, and a strong pipeline of investment planned over the coming years.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Full operational responsibility for the manufacturing site, driving performance, safety, and efficiency
  • Leading a senior management team across core areas including Production, Engineering, Projects, CI, Technical and HSE
  • Overseeing a large unionised workforce and maintaining positive employee relations
  • Delivering high levels of OTIF performance in a multi-SKU, high-volume production environment
  • Supporting integration and transformation activity across the site, including capital investment programmes
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory, safety and quality standards
  • Acting as a visible and effective leader during a period of operational change

MUST HAVES:

  • Proven experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role (Plant Manager / Head of Operations or equivalent)
  • Strong background in managing large teams in a unionised environment
  • Exposure to high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing (ideally with multiple product lines)
  • Ability to work under pressure and bring stability and direction to a large site
  • Immediate availability for interim work, with interest in longer-term opportunities
