Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be retained by a leading manufacturer in the South Yorkshire area, as they look to hire an experienced Operations Manager. A specialist manufacturer with a global presence, the Operations Manager's role will strategically lead the site through an exciting period, with overall production control to ensure targets and delivery dates are achieved in full.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Driving high utilisation of manufacturing tools and techniques to meet customer order requirements
- Deliver manufacturing best practice over labour, equipment and systems
- Definition and implementation of the strategic objectives, in line with the global business objectives, to deliver the required growth and efficiency targets
- Control of key manufacturing KPIs - Safety, Quality, Profitability, Equipment Efficiency & OTIF
- Planning, monitoring and adjusting the production workload to achieve quality and delivery targets
- Promoting Manufacturing Excellence and a continuous improvement culture throughout the facility
- Expand the manufacturing workforce and ensure all members are thoroughly trained against company expectations
- Leadership of the Management level team to support them with their daily, weekly and yearly objectives
Experience & Qualification requirements:
- Highly experienced within a complex manufacturing environment
- Engineering studies graduate is preferential
- Lean / Six Sigma qualified
- Examples of delivering manufacturing strategies to achieve overall company objectives
- Application of quality systems for regulated manufacturing markets
- Familiarity and understanding of key performance metrics within manufacturing including their analysis and presentation
- Knowledge of formal maintenance structures for manufacturing machinery (PPM/TPM)
- Examples of leading a Management team, delivering a common goal and working towards it
- A motivated, problem solving approach to deliver customer requirements when faced with changing requirements
