Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a global food manufacturer to recruit a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Sheffield.

Salary: £55,000 with shift allowance

Shifts: continental shift pattern

  • Our client is looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with the ability to train others effectively, excellent communication skills and has a passion for excellence and the tenacity to deliver in a challenging environment

    The main objective of the Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer is to provide a comprehensive breakdown, planned / preventative maintenance and continuous improvement service. Other duties include:

  • Undertake risk assessments and write permits for external contractors
  • Analyse losses/data and planning improvements through the Maintenance Planner
  • Ensure effective maintenance is planned and executed
  • Understand PM criticality and score for assigned area
  • Update SAP
  • Source and order spares through lead tech/planner
  • Lead BDA process on biggest losses in an area
  • Support and coach operators
  • Raise and complete Tags with and without operator involvement
  • We would like to speak with Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers with the following skills/experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds ONC qualification or equivalent in electrical engineering
  • Understanding of electrical wiring regulations IEE 17th Edition
  • Fully multi-skilled and competent in both electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Experience of PLC fault finding within an FMCG environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset and ability to utilise tools such as FMECA, SMED, RCA, PDCA
  • Strong training skills - training operators
