Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be supporting a growing food manufacturer in their search for a Production Shift Manager to join their facility in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong people leader who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment and enjoys driving operational performance, safety, and continuous improvement.

As Shift Manager, you will take full responsibility for production performance during your shift, ensuring the team delivers against key operational targets across safety, quality, delivery, cost and performance.

Key responsibilities of the Production Shift Manager include:

  • Leading and managing production teams to deliver shift performance targets
  • Maintaining high health & safety standards and promoting a safe working environment
  • Driving quality, food safety and GMP standards across all production areas
  • Managing labour and resources to maximise productivity and efficiency
  • Coaching, developing and mentoring Line Leaders and production associates
  • Leading shift meetings and ensuring clear communication across departments
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing tools
  • Managing site operations and communications during night shifts or weekends when required
  • Supporting recruitment, training and succession planning within the shift team

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have strong leadership experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment, as well as the below skills & experience:

  • Previous experience in a management role
  • Strong people leadership and team development skills
  • Experience working in FMCG or food manufacturing is essential for this role
  • A proven track record of delivering against operational KPIs
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Good IT skills including Excel and ERP systems
