Aerospace Metal Forming Operative Location: SheffieldSalary: £30,793.38Shifts: Rotating mornings and afters shifts Duties Responsibilities Forming sheet metal components to engineering and customer specifications Performing operations using hand tools including riveting, drilling, and planishing Operating and using hand-held and air-powered tools safely and effectively Ensuring products are manufactured to the correct tolerances and meet both customer and internal quality standards, including NADCAP and AS9100 requirements Interpreting and working from engineering drawings and technical specifications Carrying out quality checks and inspections throughout the manufacturing process Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health safety procedures Working collaboratively with production and quality teams to achieve production targets and maintain high standards Skills Experience Required Previous experience within metal forming, sheet metal, or aerospace manufacturing environments Confident using hand tools and air-powered tools within a production setting Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately Strong understanding of tolerances and quality standards Experience working to aerospace standards such as NADCAP or AS9100 would be advantageous Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team Benefits 185 hours holiday per year, with the option to buy or sell up to 37 additional hours Paid Christmas shutdown 37-hour working week Early finish Fridays 4-day working week for night shift employees All bank holidays off Employee Assistance Programme YuLife app including 24/7 GP access and wellbeing rewards Bravo benefits scheme with discounts on shopping and gym memberships Salary sacrifice schemes including electric/hybrid cars and critical illness cover Free hot drinks on Fridays Westfield Health Scheme Free on-site parking If you are an experienced manufacturing operative with a background in sheet metal or aerospace production, we would love to hear from you.
