Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on the outskirts of Leeds.

Salary: £44,730 – inclusive of shift allowance

Overtime: x 1.3 Weekdays, x 1.5 Saturdays and x 2 Sundays.

Benefits include:

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will overall be responsible for effectively and safely repairing and maintaining production machinery/equipment promptly.

Duties of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer include:

  • Ensuring all safety protocols are followed and carried out correctly (LOTO)
  • Root cause analysis/fault finding on a diverse range of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Carrying out efficient, effective, and safe repairs to machinery/plant to maximise uptime
  • Offering solutions on ways to improve downtime and also improve health and safety on and around machinery/plant
  • Working in a team environment and is also capable of working independently
  • Part of a team which drives PM activity that results in downtime reduction

We are keen to speak with Mechanical Maintenance Engineers with the following skills/experiences:

  • HNC/HND/Degree level education
  • Full apprenticeship or suitable experience in a similar role/environment
  • Experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment or similar
  • Understand & knowledge of PLC and HMI instrumentation
  • Some Lathe and Milling work needed (basic/intermediate level)
