Materials Controller – Leeds – £27,000 – £30,000

Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with an innovative manufacturer based in Leeds who are looking for a Materials Controller to join their team.

This key role will see you coordinating between supply chain partners and internal teams to ensure efficient production and cost-effective logistics.

Materials Controller Duties:

  • Develop production forecasts based on the demand plan to ensure production meets business needs
  • Create and place Assembly Orders with service providers, considering lead times and cost efficiency
  • Liaise with external production partners to ensure all necessary purchase order are obtained in a timely manner
  • Work with suppliers to establish and maintain a production schedule that meets demand
  • Identify required raw materials for production, ensuring timely procurement and allocation
  • Arrange and confirm the transport of raw materials in a cost-effective manner
  • Oversee and arrange the return transport of assembled products efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Update and reflect any changes in production, transport, warehouse receipts and product availability on Business Central production
  • React and adjust to changes in materials, scheduling, and logistics to maintain operational efficiency

Hours: 8:30am – 5pm (Monday – Thursday) and 8:30am-4pm (Friday)

  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Business Central or similar inventory management software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to ensure seamless production flows
