Responsibilities of a Trainee Business Account Manager:
- Support experienced Account Managers and gain hands-on experience across all aspects of customer account management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts.
- Manage and service a portfolio of existing customer accounts to a high standard.
- Prepare quotations and process amendments efficiently and accurately.
- Coordinate customer orders, delivery schedules and project requirements.
- Manage variations, additional requirements and customer expectations throughout project lifecycles.
- Monitor account performance and contribute towards business growth within existing customers.
- Assist with debt management and account administration activities.
- Develop a strong understanding of the construction industry, market trends and competitor activity.
- Travel across the UK to meet customers and support business activities, including occasional overnight stays.
Requirements of a Trainee Business Account Manager:
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with people at all levels.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Comfortable travelling throughout the region and wider UK when required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
- Strong IT and computer skills.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
