Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be recruiting a Management Accountant on behalf of a highly successful and respected organisation within the hospitality sector. Located near Chesterfield, you will spend one day each week in the local office and one day a week in North Yorkshire. For the remainder of the week, you will be able to work from home.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accounting and financial support across a diverse portfolio of operational sites for locations in Yorkshire and Derbyshire. You will directly support senior leadership and influence business performance and decision making.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing finance support to senior leaders across the business including producing both financial and non-financial management information
- Evaluating the financial impact of new initiatives and investment opportunities
- Preparing budgets and forecasts through partnering with budget holders across the business
- Reviewing business performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and producing insightful performance analysis and KPIs
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Completing VAT, statutory, and government returns, and supporting tax computations
- Assisting with external audits
- Providing support for finance systems, including maintenance, development, and user training
Key skills / qualifications:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent or QBE
- Management accounts experience
- Strong IT skills including Excel
- Experience of managing stakeholder relationships
- Communication
