Automation & Control Engineer

Up to £55k + bonus
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading UK manufacturing site who are looking for an experienced Automation & Control Engineer to take ownership of on-site control and automation systems supporting a high-volume production environment.
You’ll be the go-to technical specialist for PLCs, SCADA and electrical control systems, focused on fault-finding, system reliability and continuous improvement.
Key experience required:
- Strong hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
- Solid background with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) and Siemens control platforms
- Experience supporting live manufacturing or process environments
- SCADA and HMI exposure within industrial settings
- Ability to diagnose faults, carry out root cause analysis and support commissioning activity
- Comfortable working as a site-based technical lead, liaising with maintenance teams and external suppliers
Desirable:
- Industrial networking knowledge (eg Ethernet/IP, Profibus)
- Continuous improvement or Lean / Six Sigma exposure
