We’re looking for a commercially sharp General Manager with a strong engineering mindset to run a high volume FMCG manufacturing site. You’ll be driving operational and commercial performance, increasing output, and ensuring customers get what they need on time every time.
The role
- Full P&L accountability and delivery of operational results
- Leading engineering driven initiatives to boost output, efficiency and reliability
- Managing a complex multi-line FMCG operation
- Overseeing automated production assets and ensuring peak performance
- Tracking yield, waste, downtime and labour efficiency through formal KPIs
- Maintaining a strong safety and quality culture
- Ensuring compliance with BRC, ISO and internal standards
- Leading cross functional teams including production, engineering, QA, supply chain and logistics
- Coaching and developing multi shift leadership teams
- Embedding continuous improvement focused on waste reduction, energy efficiency and process optimisation
What we’re looking for
- Proven senior leadership experience in FMCG or high volume manufacturing
- Strong technical and process understanding in production environments
- Engineering mindset with proactive problem solving skills
- Solid commercial and P&L acumen
- Experience in KPI driven, data led environments
- Strong grounding in food safety, quality systems and compliance
- Multi shift operations and workforce scheduling experience
- Confidence operating in structured, matrixed organisations

This is a large, high output site with significant automation and integrated logistics. Success comes from balancing scale, complexity and formality while staying grounded in how the operation really runs. You’ll report to regional or national operations leadership and engage daily with senior stakeholders.
