A well-established off-site manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of major civil engineering projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional to take ownership of projects from tender stage through to final account, working closely with clients, contractors, and operational teams to ensure strong commercial performance and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the commercial and financial aspects of multiple projects
- Preparing tenders, quotations, budgets, and cost plans
- Managing valuations, variations, applications for payment, and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs, forecasting, and reporting
- Reviewing contracts and subcontract agreements, including NEC and JCT forms
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Supporting procurement and supplier negotiations
- Building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
About You:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction, civils, or manufacturing
- Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills
- Experience with NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Able to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
