Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading specialist manufacturing company who are looking for a Prototype Operations Leader. The company design and manufacture large scale automotive products and are at the forefront of their industry with a focus on renewable technology.
Working throughout the prototype phase of product development and into aftermarket, this role will be to manage both people and the process. The Prototype Operations Leader will be responsible for:
- Delivering on the prototype development of component and system level prototypes
- Managing a team of multi-skilled technicians in the build and maintenance of prototypes
- Managing the prototype process ensuring all data, modifications and product change requests are fully electronically documented
- Managing prototyping delivery to ensure this links fully to the overall development project plans
- Building and maintaining relationships with external providers and suppliers
The Prototype Operations Leader will need:
- Experience of developing prototypes within product development
- A strong technical engineering design background
- Experience of working in a manufacturing technical engineering environment
- Experience of leading, managing and influencing others
- A sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles
- Experience of working in the automotive or similar sector
