Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer based on the outskirts of Leeds to recruit an HVAC Engineer. Reporting to Senior Engineer, the HVAC Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of driveline systems. Our client is looking for a self-starter, highly motivated and able to develop relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Duties of the HVAC Engineer include:
- Research and develop heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial vehicle applications.
- Contribute to the design, application and integration of HVAC systems into vehicles from concept to production release.
- Support engineering tasks for new and existing products.
- Provide technical guidance for other engineering and manufacturing business functions.
- Support engineering calculations and simulations for the design and validation of HVAC systems.
- Partake in supplier liaison activities for engineering and manufacturing definition.
- Contribute to the delivery of HVAC projects to meet programme targets of quality, function, cost, weight, and time.
- Provide technical support for root cause analysis of development issues.
- Create and present concise technical reports and presentations for informed decision-making.
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews.
We are looking for an HVAC Engineer with the following skills and experience:
- Degree-level education in an engineering field.
- Experience in commercial or passenger vehicle HVAC engineering.
- CAD experience in 3D and drawing creation and modification (Solidworks, Catia preferred).
- Able to work autonomously with very little assistance.
- Able to work from the manufacturing premises and remotely when required.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
