Role details: Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Leeds – We’re working with a leading manufacturing business in Leeds who are looking to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a long-established, growing company, offering a £38,000 – £43,000 salary plus benefits.

  • Day shifts, Monday to Friday
  • Inclusion in a call-out rota for additional earning potential
  • Involvement in both maintenance and R&D projects

The Role:

  • Diagnose and resolve plant and equipment faults quickly and effectively
  • Support R&D projects, contributing to the development and re-engineering of manufacturing plant and equipment
  • Carry out electrical maintenance and assembly tasks, including PLC control and cabinet wiring
  • Work collaboratively with the team to drive continuous improvement across the site

The Person:

  • Apprentice trained in Electrical Engineering (minimum HNC or equivalent)
  • Broad electrical engineering skills – e.g. PLC control, cabinet wiring, electrical maintenance, 3-phase, single-phase, motors, VFDs and control systems
  • Strong analytical and technical fault-finding ability
  • A proactive learner with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Advantageous (but not essential): experience with thyristor control, transformers, glass industry applications, refractory materials, or mechanical skills
